How to duplicate or pause a PD Onboard checklist in Blesta
PD Onboard turns the information needed after a Blesta order into a customer checklist. Make a separate variant when a different service needs different questions. Keep a checklist that existing customers still need rather than deleting it during a redesign.
Duplicate for a new workflow
- Open the original checklist from Checklists and choose Duplicate.
- Open the copy and give it a distinctive Checklist name and Opening line.
- Review the copied steps, requirements and order.
- Set the intended product or group targets again. The copy does not inherit those targets or fallback selection.
- Activate the copy only after reviewing it. A duplicate starts paused.
The new checklist is a separate template. It does not move existing runs or their answers to the new copy. Use clear names so staff can distinguish the original onboarding from its replacement.
Pause new automatic starts
Clear Active — start this checklist for new orders on the original and save. This removes it from automatic matching; it does not cancel existing runs. Manual start can still offer a paused checklist, so check the selected name before starting one by hand.
Preserve work already in progress
Existing runs read the checklist’s current steps. Changing a question affects those runs; deleting a step removes it from their current view. Deleting the checklist removes its step definitions even though run records remain. Do not use deletion to retire a checklist customers are still working through.
Check In progress, Completed and Cancelled before retiring a template. Keep the original paused while existing work is reviewed. If a redesign has already disrupted customer progress, compare the affected runs with the original checklist and current step definitions before making further changes. Do not delete runs to recreate them.
