How to set the PD Onboard completion message and email in Blesta

PD Onboard turns the information needed after a Blesta order into a customer checklist. Set an accurate next step for customers who finish onboarding. Separate the completed page from optional email delivery and from verification of the information supplied.

Configure the finish

  1. Open PD Modules → Onboarding → Settings.
  2. Enter What to say when onboarding finishes, explaining what your team will do next.
  3. With Pro, review Pro: Email the customer when their onboarding is complete. It is off by default.
  4. Save and check the completed screen using an authorised controlled workflow.

Write an expectation your team can meet. Completion can mean that the requested steps were submitted or marked done; it does not independently prove that a website is ready, an answer is correct or a live check passed.

Know what triggers completion

When the checklist has required steps, all of those must be done. When every step is optional, every step must be done for completion. Required staff tasks can keep onboarding open even when the customer has finished everything visible to them.

The completion email is attempted when a customer submission completes the run. Marking the final step done in staff view does not invoke that same email path. A completed state alone is not evidence of an email attempt or inbox delivery; check platform mail records if a customer reports no message.

Changing a completed workflow

The completed page reads the current finish message, so changing it can affect what returning customers see. Avoid editing it as though each run has a permanently saved copy. If more work is needed, reopen the whole run and any relevant step; reopening a step by itself leaves a completed run completed. Recheck the resulting state before asking the customer to return.
