PD Notes for WHMCS: organise client and service notes
PD Notes keeps follow-up information beside the client, service or domain it concerns. Use separate notes with titles, tags and due dates instead of maintaining one long account note.
What the workflow covers
Notes are for staff unless you deliberately enable a client-visible note. Pin frequently used information and use templates for repeated work, while keeping the scope specific enough that another staff member can find the right context.
Before you start
Install PD Modules for WHMCS first, connect the account that holds your licence, then install PD Notes from its Store. Allow the administrator role that needs to use it.
Set up your first workflow
- Create a note on the relevant client, service or domain. Add a clear title, the detail your colleague will need and a useful tag.
- Set the assignee and due date when the note represents follow-up work. Review reminder recipients and the optional digest in Settings.
- Check the visibility before saving. If you enable client visibility, use an appropriate client- or service-scoped note and read it as the customer will.
Check the result
Find the note again through search and its attached account context. If you rely on reminders, check that the normal WHMCS cron is running and that a recipient is configured.
Keep passwords and access secrets out of ordinary notes; use an appropriate secret-handoff workflow instead.
