How to assign and snooze PD Notes reminders in WHMCS
Use a PD Notes reminder when an account note needs a specific follow-up. The reminder belongs to the note, with a date and an assignee; email is an optional notification channel, while Reminders is the staff work list in WHMCS.
Set the follow-up
- Open the intended note and choose Edit, or create a new note for the correct account.
- Set Remind me to the intended date and time. Check the installation’s time setting when coordinating with colleagues.
- Choose Assign reminder to, or deliberately leave it unassigned.
- Save, then open Reminders and check the date and assignee.
Due now contains due and overdue work. Upcoming (next 30 days) shows the nearer future; a later reminder is not expected in that section yet. Use the search and assignee controls to narrow a busy list.
Complete or postpone the work
Choose Done after completing the follow-up. It leaves the active reminder list but does not delete the note. For a due reminder, Snooze 1 week moves the date to a week from the time you snooze it and re-arms the reminder. To choose another date, edit Remind me and save. Changing the reminder date also re-arms it.
Check email settings and timing
In Settings, review Email reminders when a note is due, Fallback reminder recipient(s) and Send reminders as one daily digest. An emailable assignee is preferred. Otherwise the fallback addresses are used, or active administrators when fallback is blank. An assignment is therefore not a guarantee of an exclusive recipient.
Individual notifications are processed by the normal WHMCS cron; they are not an exact-time email service. Digest mode groups due work by assignee and uses a once-per-day sending gate. Later-due work can wait for a subsequent day. Disabling email does not clear the work list.
If an email is missing, check the saved date, Done status, assignee, recipient settings, cron and mail delivery. Check the outcome before sending another message; acceptance by mail software is not proof that someone read it.
