How to configure an AI Assistant webhook connector in Blesta
An outbound connector lets PD AI Assistant send an approved notification to a destination you control. The generic connector sends JSON to the webhook address; it is different from attaching an MCP server or connecting an AI provider.
Prepare the destination
Obtain an HTTPS webhook URL from the system you intend to receive notifications. Confirm that it accepts a JSON POST containing source, title and message. The module uses “PD AI Assistant” as the source value.
The webhook URL can grant posting access. Keep it out of chat prompts, screenshots and support messages. Give the connector a distinct name so an assistant cannot confuse it with another destination that has a similar purpose.
Add the connector
- Open PD Modules → PD AI Assistant → Settings → Advanced → Connectors.
- Enter Name under Add a connector.
- Choose Generic webhook (JSON POST) under Type.
- Paste the intended destination into Webhook URL.
- Choose Add connector, then check the saved name, type and on/off state.
A new connector is enabled. Review that consequence before adding it. The form does not provide an Edit URL control for an existing row; do not assume a changed destination can be entered by reopening its name.
Test only an intended destination
Send test makes an actual outbound request. Use it only when that test message should be sent, then verify receipt at the destination. A successful HTTP response means the endpoint accepted the request; it does not prove that every later routing, display or notification step completed.
In an attended staff chat, asking the assistant to notify a connector can send directly rather than creating a native Pending action. Unattended API notifications are treated differently and can be returned as proposals. Do not assume every notification goes through Apply or that an API proposal has been stored in that queue.
Disable or replace deliberately
Use Disable to withdraw it from normal enabled-name lookup. The row’s Send test control remains a separate explicit send, so disabling is not a promise that a staff test cannot run.
For replacement, review the existing destination and any uncertain deliveries before retiring it and configuring the intended new connector. Deleting the saved connector does not revoke the external webhook or recall messages already sent.
