Check, revoke or replace a password handoff link in WHMCS

Use Recent links when a recipient cannot retrieve a handoff or when a link should no longer be available. Check what happened before making a replacement.

Locate the handoff

  1. Open PD Password Manager → Share a secret.
  2. Under Recent links, find the non-secret label, mode and state.
  3. Compare the creation/expiry information with the recipient’s attempt time.
  4. Ask for the redacted on-screen error and confirm the addressed account for client-area delivery.

The list shows the latest 25 links before its on-screen filters. A missing row is not proof that no handoff was created. “Active” does not confirm that the recipient has the complete URL, the correct account or the right passphrase.

Diagnose access without consuming it

Copy and deliver the entire original link, including its final fragment. A shortened or truncated link may lose the part needed for retrieval. Do not open a live one-view handoff yourself to test it.

A wrong passphrase does not consume a successful view, but repeated failures can lock the handoff after eight unsuccessful attempts. Expired, exhausted or locked links need a new handoff; do not promise that changing a setting restores them. An opened notification is best effort, so a missing email is not evidence that no reveal occurred.

Revoke and replace deliberately

Choose Revoke for the correct row and confirm when you intend to stop further retrieval. Revocation cannot erase a value already copied or stop an already completed reveal. If exposure is suspected, change the credential on its actual account as needed; replacing the link alone does not change that credential.

The original full link is shown only at creation and cannot be recovered from this list. If it was lost, confirm the intended credential and recipient, revoke an unwanted earlier handoff, then create a replacement. Never include a working URL or passphrase in a support ticket.
