Export the PD Password Manager vault as CSV in WHMCS
Export creates a portable copy of the vault, including decrypted passwords and notes. Use it when you need to transfer credentials, and handle the result as a file containing live secrets.
Prepare the export
- Confirm that you are authorised to retrieve the vault’s credentials. Export requires permission to reveal secrets.
- Open PD Password Manager → Vault → Export.
- Read the entry count and any warning about values that could not be decrypted.
- Choose Download CSV only when you are ready to store or import the file securely.
The export covers the vault rather than the current list’s folder or search filter, up to 100,000 entries. It includes folder, type, name, notes, URL, username, password, tag and client information. The export is recorded in Activity.
Check the receiving system
Review the destination’s column mapping and expected entry count. If the export screen reports unreadable entries, those rows can have an empty password. Resolve that warning before removing the original installation or treating the file as a complete recovery copy.
Passwords are preserved exactly, including punctuation. Do not casually open this file in a spreadsheet that may interpret cell contents as formulas or transform values. Do not email it to support or upload it with ordinary diagnostic attachments.
Finish the transfer
Confirm that the intended records were imported and can be retrieved at the destination. Remove temporary copies when they are no longer needed. The CSV is not an encrypted vault backup and does not restore the module’s complete configuration or handoff history.
