Store a credential in the PD Password Manager vault for WHMCS

Keep a reusable credential in the vault with enough context for authorised staff to find the right account. A vault entry is separate from a temporary handoff link.

Create the entry

  1. Open PD Password Manager → Vault → New entry with permission to manage entries.
  2. Enter Title and select Type.
  3. Add Username, Password / secret and URL as appropriate. Generate a password can prepare a value inside the editor.
  4. Add Notes, choose a Folder and enter a Tag if useful.
  5. Use Attach to client (optional) only when the entry belongs with that client. Check the selected account before saving.
  6. Choose Create entry. Find the saved title in the vault and check its metadata.

Keep sensitive values in the right fields

The password/secret and notes are encrypted at rest. Titles, usernames, URLs and tags are searchable metadata; do not put passwords or access tokens in them. Server-side encryption does not make the vault inaccessible to authorised staff or to the server itself.

Attaching an entry to a client organises it; it is not a restriction that limits staff to that client’s entries. Pro client visibility is a separate control. Leave Visible to that client in their portal off unless you intend that client to retrieve this reusable credential.

Check what was saved

Use Open to check the title, username and association. Reveal the secret only when needed and permitted. Creating an entry does not create an external account, activate an API key or change a service password. If saving fails, retain your original credential safely and resolve the error before relying on the vault copy.
