Let clients retrieve their own vault credentials in Blesta with Pro
The Pro client-area vault gives a signed-in client continuing access to entries you deliberately share with that account. It is separate from a one-time handoff.
Enable the feature and choose entries
- Open PD Password Manager → Settings with Pro active.
- Enable Let clients see their own vault entries (Pro) and save.
- Open the intended vault entry’s Edit screen.
- Select the correct Attach to client (optional) account.
- Enable Visible to that client in their portal only for credentials that account should retrieve, then choose Save changes.
The global feature setting and the per-entry client/visibility choices all matter. Attaching an entry alone does not make it customer-visible. Do not enable the visibility box for a shared infrastructure or administrator credential merely because a client is attached for organisation.
What the client can retrieve
The client’s credentials page lists entries assigned to that account and marked visible. It shows the title, type, username and an eligible web URL; the client can deliberately reveal the password/secret. Staff notes are not included in that client view. Retrieval is repeatable rather than a one-view handoff.
Remove future access or diagnose an empty page
Clear the entry’s visibility flag to stop its future client-area retrieval. Copies already taken cannot be recalled. For a missing entry, check the signed-in client account, attachment, visibility flag, feature setting and active Pro entitlement.
If Pro becomes unavailable, the customer page can report credentials unavailable; entries are not deleted and saved visibility choices can return when Pro is restored. Review those choices when re-enabling access rather than assuming every entry became staff-only permanently.
