How to schedule monthly Care Reports in Blesta
Schedule PD Care Reports after reviewing a representative report and recipient scope. The monthly Blesta workflow can email reports or publish useful reports to the client area without email.
Choose the automatic delivery mode
- Review the selected plans under What goes in a report, report sections and branding.
- Generate and preview a draft first, with automation still off.
- In Settings, choose Day of the month to send, from 1 to 28.
- Review Email the report to the customer: on for automatic email, off for client-area-only publication.
- Enable Send reports automatically, save and verify the saved choices.
The run uses the previous calendar month. If the chosen day is missed, a later eligible run during that month can catch up. This is not a promise to backfill every earlier month after a long interruption.
Understand Sent without an email
With automatic emailing off, a useful draft is marked Sent so that it appears in the client area. The state can therefore mean published without email, not proof that a message was delivered. An empty report is skipped rather than published merely to fill the month.
The normal Blesta cron drives the monthly job. Processing cadence depends on that scheduler and due work; setting a send day does not guarantee an exact delivery time.
Verify the first run and partial failures
Check Reports for the intended month, state, expected service coverage and relevant Activity or job result. Failed email drafts can be retried on a later eligible run, while reports already marked Sent are not deliberately sent again by that draft dispatch.
Generation considers up to 2,000 active services before plan filtering, and a dispatch processes up to 500 drafts. On a larger installation, a completed monthly run can leave additional drafts unprocessed, so compare the expected services and remaining drafts with that run’s result rather than assuming every report was delivered.
Repeated generation during retries can also make PageSpeed requests. Keep quota and mail evidence in view. Switching automation off pauses future scheduled attempts; it does not withdraw reports already published or recall emails.
