Let customers choose a Lightsail region, plan and OS in WHMCS

A fixed Lightsail product is useful for a single offering. Configurable options let customers choose the region, capacity or operating-system image from the choices you expose. PD AWS Lightsail generates these choices from the AWS catalogue; you still decide which combinations and prices to offer.

Before you start

Complete the AWS connection and Lightsail product setup. Check the saved platform, launch region, plan and blueprint. A field you leave out of checkout continues to use the product’s saved default.

Generate the customer choices

  1. Open PD Modules → PD AWS Lightsail → Products and find the intended product.
  2. Choose Generate for that offering. For an existing group, read the rebuild confirmation before proceeding: rebuilding can reset prices to the suggested defaults.
  3. Select the dimensions customers should choose, such as Region, Instance plan and OS. Only expose choices you intend to support.
  4. Generate the group and review the resulting WHMCS Configurable Options.
  5. Check the prices, billing terms and currency for every visible choice. A suggested plan price does not include all possible storage, backup or networking costs.
  6. Open the customer order form and confirm that only the intended choices appear for this product.

Check the offering as a customer

Try several intended combinations without submitting an order. Check the OS family against the plan, and the selected region against the images and capacity you offer. Do not assume every plan exists in every region.

A visibility change and a rebuild are different operations. Use the visibility controls when you simply want to hide a dimension; avoid regenerating a priced group as a way to change one label or checkbox.

When a choice is missing or outdated

Check the saved AWS connection and the module’s default catalogue region first. Review the module’s retirement notices before using Sync to hide a retired plan or image from new orders. Check the order form again afterwards; keep existing services separate from changes to what new customers can buy.

If a generated price is unexpected, review your target margin, currency and the actual operating-system family rather than treating the suggested value as your final selling price.

See the PD AWS Lightsail WHMCS guide for related tasks, or explore the module.
