How to choose which WHMCS care plans receive monthly reports
Use PD Care Reports for the services where a monthly explanation adds value: managed hosting, website maintenance or a care plan. Choose the products deliberately before generating reports or switching on delivery in WHMCS.
Select the intended services by plan
Install and enable PD Care Reports through PD Modules and grant the relevant staff access. Open PD Modules → Care Reports → What goes in a report.
- Find Products on a care plan and search for the intended products by name.
- Select the plan names rather than typing numeric identifiers.
- Press Save and reopen the selector to confirm the selection.
- Leave Send reports automatically off while preparing the first review.
An empty selection means every eligible active service, not “no recipients”. Eligibility is based on currently active services and the selected plans, so it is not a reconstruction of every service that existed during an older reporting month.
Review the scope before generation
The generation workflow considers up to 2,000 active services before applying the plan filter. On a larger installation, a narrow plan selection does not by itself prove that every matching service was considered. Compare the expected services with the generated report list before treating a completion message as complete coverage.
Changing the selected plans controls later generation; it does not delete or withdraw reports already stored or sent. Review existing reports separately if the audience changes.
Check the first report set
On Reports, choose the intended month and use Generate for this month. Inspect the customer and Site on each relevant row before previewing or sending. Each service has its own report for a selected month, so a customer with several care-plan services can have several reports.
Keep the recipient selection narrow enough to review through your normal controlled process. If an expected active service is missing, check its current status, plan membership, the selected month and large-installation limits. Do not clear the plan filter as a guess: that can broaden the report audience.
