How to set PD Uptime check intervals and monitoring allowance in Blesta
Choose a useful check interval without mistaking a saved setting for proof of active coverage. PD Uptime & Status schedules eligible monitors through Blesta; paused monitors and monitors outside their checking allowance need separate attention.
Set the check behaviour
- Open PD Modules → Uptime → Settings.
- Review How often to check and choose the intended interval.
- Review Seconds to wait for an answer for the timeout.
- Review Failed checks before it counts as down for incident confirmation.
- Save and return to Monitors to inspect the latest Checked times.
The usual default interval is five minutes, but the real cadence also depends on the normal Blesta cron and the amount of due work. Selecting a short interval does not make a slower cron run faster. A faster scheduler does not mean every monitor is checked again on every invocation.
Check allowance and Pro requirements
Website monitoring is available without Pro within the configured Monitors included without Pro allowance. Its usual default is ten. Review the allowance intended for your installation; do not treat changing the setting as a substitute for Pro entitlement. The eligible set is the oldest unpaused website monitors. Other listed monitors can remain unchecked.
Pro removes that website allowance and enables certificate and TCP port monitoring. It does not remove ordinary scheduling and batch processing. A monitor still needs to be unpaused and due for a scheduled check.
Use the manual round accurately
Check everything now can include eligible monitors before their normal interval is due, but does not override Pause or Pro requirements. A round handles up to 200 candidates. On a large list, entries outside the checking allowance can occupy that batch before eligible monitors are reached; repeating the same action may leave eligible monitors stale. Check actual timestamps against pause state, tier eligibility and the allowance rather than assuming repeated rounds prove complete coverage.
For missing checks, review pause state, tier eligibility, the configured allowance, cron status and the last result.
