How to create and target a PD Onboard checklist in WHMCS
PD Onboard turns the information needed after a WHMCS order into a customer checklist. Create a focused checklist for a particular service instead of asking every customer for the same information.
Create the checklist
- Open PD Modules → Onboarding → Checklists → New checklist.
- Enter a Checklist name the customer will recognise and an Opening line explaining what you need.
- Choose the intended products under Start this checklist for these products, or use Or for whole product groups for the intended product groups. The panel uses product wording for these shared controls.
- Use Fallback only for a checklist intended when no more specific match exists.
- Clear Active — start this checklist for new orders while preparing an unfinished checklist, then create it and add its steps.
Understand which checklist wins
An active checklist matching the individual product takes priority over a group match. A group match takes priority over the fallback. Several overlapping checklists do not mean that every matching checklist starts. Keep targets unambiguous rather than relying on the order of overlapping matches.
Add at least one step before expecting a run to start. Review the questions and requirements, then activate the checklist when it is ready. Existing customers do not automatically receive a newly created checklist just because their service now matches it; use the manual-start procedure where appropriate.
Check the result
Use a controlled customer and the intended order workflow. In In progress, confirm the customer, checklist and starting point. If the wrong checklist appears, review active individual targets, group targets and fallback before changing settings or starting another run.
