How to find domains using other nameservers with PD Domain Radar in Blesta
The optional own-nameserver check can help review a DNS-hosting portfolio. External nameservers are often intentional, so this rule produces a note rather than proof of a fault.
Configure your comparison
- Open PD Modules → Domain Radar → Settings.
- Enter the intended Your nameservers values, separated by commas.
- Review Flag domains that are not using your nameservers and enable it only if this comparison suits your service.
- Save and inspect results after an appropriate scan.
Blesta has no installation-wide nameserver defaults for this rule. Enter the comparison explicitly; an empty effective list means the check has nothing to compare against.
Understand what counts as yours
The comparison groups nameservers by a base-host rule. Another nameserver under the same recognised base can count as yours, and one matching live nameserver is enough to avoid the note. It is not an exact full-set comparison or a complete public-suffix analysis.
If you require a precise delegation set, review the full registry delegation separately. The absence of this note is not proof that every expected nameserver is present or that the DNS zone contains the correct records.
Review expected exceptions
Open Needs attention, select Notes only if useful, and read Not using your nameservers. Confirm whether external DNS is intended before accepting the finding. Changing the expected list can change the interpretation of many domains at the next scan; it does not edit any registry nameservers itself.
