Create a DigitalOcean Droplet product in WHMCS
Define the server your customer receives: its DigitalOcean account, region, plan, operating system and available management features. Creating a product configures an offering; activating a service can create billable provider resources.
Prepare the account
Install PD Modules and PD DigitalOcean Droplets, connect the account holding your module licence, and allow the appropriate administrator role to use it. Complete the DigitalOcean connection and check its read-only test.
Create the offering
- Open System Settings → Products/Services → Create a New Product.
- Choose the group and a customer-facing name; set the type to Other Products/Services.
- On Module Settings, choose PD DigitalOcean Droplets and the intended server group.
- Set Region, Plan and Operating system. Review additional storage, backups, dedicated IP, IPv6, SSH key and optional project defaults.
- Review each client feature: power, snapshots, firewall, rebuild, usage, console and SSH keys.
- Set Automatically setup the product explicitly. Choose the first-payment option if that is the automatic provisioning behaviour you intend.
- Set the customer price and billing terms, then save.
An Included snapshots value of 0 gives no included manual snapshots unless the customer buys an allowance through a configurable option. Decide that separately from automated backups.
Confirm activation behaviour
Reopen the saved product and review automatic setup. Do not assume a generator chose it for you. An Active billing record alone does not prove the module created a server; read the actual provisioning result.
Use your controlled first-service process when ready. Confirm the intended instance, region, plan and OS, then wait for its networking and storage work to finish before handing it over.
For customer choices and selling prices, continue with configurable options. For an activated service with no ready server, use the provisioning checks before repeating Create or Activate.
