Generate DigitalOcean checkout options and prices in WHMCS
Use PD DigitalOcean Droplets’ generated options when customers should choose their server plan, region, OS or extras. Review both visibility and price: generating a choice does not mean it is ready to sell at your intended amount.
Start with saved defaults
Complete the product setup first. A hidden dimension falls back to the product’s module default, so review the fixed region, plan, OS and extras before opening checkout.
Generate and expose the right choices
- Open PD Modules → DigitalOcean Droplets → Products and find the intended product.
- Choose Generate options to build its configurable option group from the provider catalogue.
- Open the row and choose which dimensions customers see: Region, Server plan, Operating system, Additional storage, Automated backups, Dedicated IP and Snapshots you can keep.
- Choose Save visibility to apply that display choice.
- Review prices under System Settings → Products/Services → Configurable Options, including terms, currencies and extras. The product’s Configurable Options tab assigns the option group.
- Open the order form and check the choices and totals without submitting an order.
The region must carry the selected plan. If you offer a single region, hiding Region limits the plan choices to that region; check the resulting order form rather than assuming all provider plans are available everywhere.
Understand the margin controls
The offering’s row shows provider costs and an optional margin. Save margin stores the margin and shows suggestions; it does not itself change your prices.
Without a saved margin, generated prices start at zero. With a margin, Generate can write suggested prices for choices one price can cover. Review the Priced by Generate and You price it indicators: backups on a variable-plan offering, dedicated IP and snapshots can still need your own pricing. Check the billing-system exchange rate used for cost conversion.
Avoid an accidental price reset
Rebuild from live catalog regenerates option prices. Read its confirmation before rebuilding a group with selling prices already set. Use Save visibility when changing visibility rather than rebuilding just to hide one choice.
If you intend to allow later option changes, review Configurable Options on the product’s Upgrades tab and the supported resource changes.
Saving defaults or prices does not prove a real service was resized. Use the resize and storage guide when preparing those change paths.
