Test Crypto Pay invoice payments on test networks in Blesta
Rehearse the payment flow using PD Crypto Pay’s Test mode before accepting live cryptocurrency. Test mode uses supported test networks rather than real payment networks; it is not a safe label to assume without checking the displayed chain and wallet.
Prepare the rehearsal
Use a test client and a fresh invoice you control, without an existing crypto payment request. A previously opened request can remain visible with its original network while its payment window is open or funds have been seen; switching the global mode does not rewrite that request. Choose a supported test network and matching receiving wallet, provider and test coins. Bitcoin testnet, Litecoin testnet and Ethereum Sepolia are supported test-network examples in the module documentation.
Keep this separate from exchange conversion and hot-wallet automation. Test mode for invoice quotes is not a promise that every external exchange connection or treasury action becomes a simulation. Do not enable a live conversion rule merely to rehearse invoice checkout.
Check a complete test payment
- Open PD Modules → PD Crypto Pay and switch Test mode on in Settings or through the Dashboard control.
- Confirm the Dashboard clearly shows TEST.
- Review the test-network wallet and enabled test payment choice.
- Open your controlled invoice and choose the crypto gateway.
- Check the quoted coin, network, address and amount. Use only test-network coins for that test request.
- Follow the payment timeline from waiting to seen/confirming and then credited, subject to the configured confirmations.
- Check the invoice result and any enabled payment-progress notifications.
A quoted address alone is not proof that the full test passed. Record the request reference and final result. If a payment is not detected, check the chain/provider configuration rather than sending again blindly.
Exercise the exception paths
Rehearse underpayment, excess and expiry handling in the controlled test setup when those behaviours matter to your workflow. Compare the result with your saved amount and expiry policy. Keep the test invoice/account separate from customer billing.
Return to live operation carefully
Switch back to LIVE only when ready. Review the live receiving wallets, enabled coins, providers, invoice currency assignment and current prices again. A test-network wallet or provider does not establish a working mainnet receiving configuration.
If the displayed payment network does not match the intended rehearsal, stop and check the request’s creation time and original network first. Do not use a real payment to investigate it.
Check the intended network
Compare the Dashboard’s TEST/LIVE mode, selected coin/network, receiving-wallet network, provider network and payment creation time. Establish whether you are viewing an existing payment request or a new test request; changing the global mode does not rewrite an existing payment’s receiving network. Keep the rehearsal separate from real customer billing and stop if a fresh test request unexpectedly offers a live network.
