Troubleshoot Cloudflare R2 provisioning in WHMCS
Investigate the original PD Cloudflare R2 operation before repeating an order or replacing a working credential. A billing service record, a bucket and a usable customer token are separate results to verify.
Establish the current state
- Identify the service, intended Cloudflare account and selected data location.
- Inspect PD Cloudflare R2 → Clients & Storage and Activity.
- Record the original action time and exact redacted error code.
- Check the product’s automatic setup policy and whether the intended payment or order event actually called the module.
- Establish whether a bucket or credential was already created before repeating an uncertain action.
An Active WHMCS record alone does not prove storage provisioning ran. Use the original service and its normal administrator controls rather than placing duplicate orders merely to investigate settings.
Check the credential that the operation uses
The host connection needs an account ID and an account API token with storage, analytics and account-token management scope. A customer application needs its issued S3 key pair. Mixing the two will not repair authentication.
The panel connection test reads permission groups and buckets for the first configured account. Its passing result does not prove token creation, every write or analytics access. Its token-permission error can also accompany an incorrect account or invalid token; review the actual values and scope privately with the Cloudflare administrator.
Diagnose customer access separately
Compare the full issued endpoint, bucket, current credential pair and signing settings using the S3 tool guide. For a browser-only failure, check CORS. For an old reading, check analytics collection. Suspension and a changed credential can refuse operations while the files remain stored.
Exclude account tokens, S3 secrets, signed URLs, full account inventories and customer file contents. Do not purge retained data or disable provider security controls to bypass a connection error.
