Forward one Plesk email address from WHMCS
Create a single-address email forward in PD Plesk DNS when messages for one source address should reach an intended receiving mailbox. The module creates a native forwarding mail name with its mailbox disabled; choose a new source address rather than repurposing an existing mailbox blindly.
Review mail delivery first
Confirm the native domain, mail service and provider permissions with the responsible administrator. Check that MX routes mail to the intended Plesk mail service and that the destination mailbox already works.
Review existing mailboxes, aliases, autoresponders and forwards for the source address. A DNS snapshot does not back up mailbox contents. Avoid a destination that forwards back to the source, directly or through a chain.
Create and verify
- Open the intended domain’s Forwarding page and add a single-address email forward.
- Enter the intended source address on that domain.
- Enter one destination mailbox supported by this provider’s module form.
- Save and read back the exact source and destination.
- Send a controlled message from an independent mailbox and confirm delivery.
Plesk can already contain native forwarding arrangements with several destinations. Review the complete native mail name rather than assuming one displayed destination is its only use. The module does not create the receiving mailbox or redirect mail that never reaches this server.
Review before changing or removing
An edit can remove and recreate the forwarding mail name. Removal deletes the native mail name rather than merely switching one destination off; an existing mailbox or other forwarding destinations can be affected. Ask the mail administrator to handle an existing multi-use address through the appropriate native workflow.
Use the removal guide before changes and the catch-all guide for unmatched recipients. Keep keys and full customer messages out of support attachments.
