Configure administrator sign-in alerts in PD Guard for WHMCS
Use administrator sign-in alerts to notify staff about successful access from an unfamiliar address. The new-address rule is different from identifying a new physical device.
Choose recording and recipients
- Open PD Modules → Guard → Settings.
- Review Alert on admin login. This also controls recording new administrator sign-in rows.
- Enable Only alert on a new IP / location if you want alerts only when that administrator uses an address not previously recorded for them.
- Enter Alert recipient email(s) as the intended comma-separated addresses, or leave it blank to use the active administrator recipients resolved by the platform.
- Choose Save settings and check future legitimate sign-in behaviour through your normal process.
The history groups an administrator username with an IP address. A different device using the same address is not necessarily new to this rule. A mobile connection, VPN or changing public address can make the same person appear new. An address observation is not proof of who operated the device.
Diagnose an expected alert
Check the successful sign-in event, recording switch, new-address choice, recipient list and mail delivery evidence. A failed sign-in is not the event that generates this successful-login alert.
The history row is recorded before delivery is attempted. A failed email does not undo it, and a later sign-in from that now-known address may stay silent. Do not repeatedly sign out or alter access rules merely to force an alert. A configured recipient or success message does not prove inbox delivery.
Disabling administrator recording does not erase older history. Keep screenshots redacted because the sign-in list contains staff identities and network addresses. Pro webhook delivery is separate from the ordinary email route.
