How to read grades and No mail in PD Email Deliverability in Blesta
The letter grade helps staff scan a list of DNS observations. It is not an inbox-placement score, a test message or proof that every sending service is correctly authenticated.
Read the domain row
- Open PD Modules → Deliverability → Domains.
- Find the intended domain using Search where it is within the displayed set.
- Review Grade, the mail classification, SPF, DKIM selectors, DMARC and Checked.
- Open Needs attention for the detail behind the result.
Displayed SPF and DMARC values can be shortened. A list of found selectors is not the complete DKIM record or a verified message signature. The grade is calculated from the module’s record checks and scoring rules, rather than from a real sending attempt.
Understand No mail and an ungraded row
The module uses observed MX or SPF presence to infer whether a domain sends mail. A domain without those observations can be ungraded when Also check domains that do not send mail is off. That inference cannot establish whether a website, application or external platform actually sends as the domain.
An ungraded or empty attention list is therefore not proof that no mail needs attention. A failed apex TXT lookup combined with no MX can also reach the ungraded path and suppress the lookup note. Check the actual sender inventory and lookup evidence before reassuring a customer.
Decide what needs investigation
Review the specific findings and current sending configuration rather than optimising only the letter. Missing optional enhancement records do not automatically lower the grade. A high grade can coexist with an unusable key, a legacy-policy interpretation or delivery problems outside DNS. Use real mail authentication and delivery evidence for the final operational check.
