How to set product and billing-cycle discount amounts in Blesta
Use PD Discount Manager’s How much off grid when one product needs a different saving from another, or an annual plan needs a different offer from a monthly plan. Keep the target selection and the fallback amount consistent before saving a Blesta rule.
Define the rows and periods
- Open PD Discount Manager → Discounts and edit the intended rule.
- Choose Specific product(s) and select the products that should qualify.
- Select Which billing cycles?. No selected cycles means every supported cycle, not an empty offer.
- Choose Discount type: percentage, fixed amount or free setup fee.
- In How much off, use one amount for everything or the mode for different product/cycle amounts.
The chosen products and cycles define both the rule’s match set and the grid dimensions. Review those choices before entering per-cell values. Do not leave the product selector empty when you intend a limited list.
Review defaults and currencies
Set Default discount deliberately. A blank grid cell falls back to the rule’s default amount; it is not an instruction to exclude that product or cycle. Use the target and cycle selections to exclude an item.
For a fixed discount, the default amount is in the installation’s default currency and is converted at its exchange rates for other currencies. Optional per-currency fixed amounts replace the single fixed amount for that currency. Grid cells and quantity tiers have their own conversion behaviour; do not assume a per-currency single amount replaces every grid or tier value.
Free setup fee targets setup rather than recurring price and does not need the same default numeric value as a percentage rule. A grid preview helps review the base and discounted amount, but it is not proof of the final order total with tax, options or another promotion.
Save and check a representative combination
Choose Save changes, reopen the rule and inspect the saved grid. Compare one explicit cell and one fallback case through your controlled test process. Blesta shows its normal price in the cart. PD Discount Manager applies an eligible rule to the order invoice as it is raised, and to eligible renewal invoices. Codes entered at checkout are Blesta coupons, managed separately from automatic rules. Review the actual item and invoice currency when an amount differs from the preview.
