PD Discount Manager for Blesta: set up automatic discounts

PD Discount Manager applies discount rules without asking the customer to type a promotion code. Match the rule to the intended products and customers, then verify the amount and renewal behaviour.

What the workflow covers

On Blesta the cart keeps its normal price and the automatic reduction is applied when the invoice is created. Package and package-group scope determines which items qualify; an “all products” rule does not automatically include domains.

Before you start

Install PD Modules for Blesta first, connect the account that holds your licence, then install PD Discount Manager from its Store. Allow the staff group that needs to use it.

Set up your first workflow

  1. Create one discount rule and give it a clear name. Set the reduction and the packages or package groups it should cover.
  2. Review eligibility, dates, renewal handling and stacking. Keep the first rule narrow so you can recognise why it applies.
  3. Inspect the invoice created for a qualifying service and compare it with one that should not qualify. Do not use the unchanged cart total as the test of whether the invoice rule works.

Check the result

Verify the discount on the created invoice and check the renewal scope separately. Bundle eligibility depends on the required items being present together; it is not a promise of a one-click bundle order link.
