Create an object storage product in WHMCS
Create a PD Object Storage offering with a deliberate backend, account connection and activation policy. Connect the intended backend account first, then check what the customer can order.
Configure the product
- Open System Settings → Products/Services → Products/Services and create a product in the intended group.
- Select the Other product type.
- On Module Settings, choose PD Object Storage and the intended server group.
- Save the matching Backend; review the saved value after the form refreshes.
- Review quota mode, default quota, default region/data location, maximum buckets and supported versioning.
- Choose the intended client bucket, share-link and storage-setting controls.
- Set Automatically setup the product to the intended policy, such as setup when the first payment is received, then save.
Give each backend its own server connection and group. Review backend selection before changing the wiring of an offering that already has services.
Review options and activation
Use PD Object Storage → Products → Actions → Generate options for this saved product, then check the choices and prices on its actual order form. Accepted checkout values can override product defaults, including a saved value on a hidden choice.
An Active billing record does not prove module provisioning ran. Check the automatic setup policy and original payment event, then inspect Clients & Storage and Activity for the resulting service and bucket.
Verify a controlled first service
Provisioning creates real resources and can incur provider charges. Review the backend/account/settings before using your normal controlled test process; repeated orders are not a way to diagnose an uncertain first operation.
Confirm the intended bucket, backend, placement and service-specific connection details. Test the application’s required operations using the customer tool guide. Keep host credentials private and use provisioning checks if the result is incomplete.
