Configure MinIO storage options and quotas in WHMCS

Use PD MinIO S3 options to offer Storage Quota, Max Buckets and Versioning choices. These describe a customer’s service, separately from the host connection’s administrative permissions.

Generate and price the choices

  1. Open PD MinIO S3 → Products and locate the intended offering.
  2. Use Actions → Generate options.
  3. Review values and prices under System Settings → Products/Services → Configurable Options; the product’s own Configurable Options tab assigns groups.
  4. Check group assignment, visible choices and defaults on the actual order form.
  5. Compare a provisioned service with the accepted selections.

Record existing values and prices before regenerating options and inspect them afterwards. Do not assume regeneration preserved an edited price or a removed choice.

Review fixed defaults and client controls

Options hidden from the order form use the offering’s Module Settings defaults. Review those defaults deliberately rather than assuming a hidden option’s first value defines the service. Max Buckets includes the primary bucket.

Quota mode is set on the product or package; use separate offerings when selling different modes. Review Client: Bucket management, Client: Share links and Client: Storage settings before enabling them. A feature switch cannot add a provider capability that the module does not support.

Separate allowance from billing

Native disk-overage billing requires its own WHMCS configuration. A measured byte count alone does not prove an invoice was created.

A hard quota is enforced from collected usage, rather than an exact atomic bucket-size cap. Use the quota guide for upload pauses and the versioning guide before promising that a normal delete frees all stored space.

See the PD MinIO S3 WHMCS guide for related tasks, or explore the module.
