Connect a MinIO server to PD MinIO S3 in WHMCS
Connect your own MinIO deployment so PD MinIO S3 can create storage services for customers. The host connection uses administrative credentials; each customer receives separate credentials restricted to their service buckets.
Prepare the intended server connection
Install PD Modules, connect the account holding your licence and install PD MinIO S3 from its Store. Ask the storage administrator to prepare a dedicated credential that can manage the intended users and policies, buckets and object settings, and read usage. A plain S3 read/write user is insufficient: the module also needs MinIO’s administration API.
Confirm the API endpoint, trusted TLS certificate and network access from the billing server. Use the API address rather than the Console web address; a generic S3-compatible service without the required MinIO administration API is not interchangeable.
Save the billing-platform account
Open System Settings → Products/Services → Servers and add a server of type PD MinIO S3. Enter the API hostname without a URL scheme in Hostname, the intended API port in Port, the admin access key in Username and its secret in Password. Enable Secure for HTTPS, save and review the server group used by the product. For a TLS proxy on port 443, enter443 explicitly; the module otherwise defaults to 9000.
Open PD MinIO S3 → Settings → Test Connection and inspect each configured account’s result. The test reads administration server information and the S3 bucket list. It creates no bucket or user and does not prove every write or usage permission.
Verify the correct destination
Check the account selected by the intended product or package. Keep host credentials out of client notes and customer tools; use the service connection guide for those.
For a failure, keep the account label, failing API and redacted error. Review endpoint and TLS checks before replacing a working credential or broadly changing server permissions.
See the PD MinIO S3 WHMCS guide for related tasks, or explore the module.
