How to install and activate PD Modules in WHMCS
Install the PD Modules control panel once, allow your administrator role to use it, then connect your account to find your licences. After that, you can begin setting up the individual modules inside the panel.
Before you start
We recommend WHMCS 9 or later with PHP 8.2 or later. Installation is also possible on WHMCS 8.13 with PHP 8.1.
You need access to your WHMCS administration area, your PD Hosting licence page and a way to upload files to the installation, such as your hosting file manager or SFTP.
Download the control-panel package matching the billing system you are installing into. The packages are different and are not interchangeable.
1. Upload the control panel
- On your licence page, find Download the control panel and select the WHMCS package.
- Unzip the download and locate the pdmodules folder.
- Upload that folder into your WHMCS modules/addons/ directory, preserving the package structure.
The result should be modules/addons/pdmodules/. Avoid placing the package one folder too deep: an extra nested pdmodules folder can stop the addon appearing where you expect it.
2. Activate the addon and allow your role
- In the WHMCS administration area, open System Settings → Addon Modules. On older installations, the route is Setup → Addon Modules.
- Find PD Modules and select Activate.
- Open its configuration on the same screen.
- Tick the administrator roles that may use the panel, including your own role, and save the changes.
This last step matters even when you are the administrator who installed it. WHMCS addon access is controlled by the allowed roles; activation alone does not give every administrator access.
3. Connect your account
Open PD Modules from the Addons menu. Complete any first-use prompts, then open Account → Sign in & connect inside the panel.
Sign in with the account that holds your licence. The panel finds your licences automatically, without a key to copy.
If you prefer the manual method, choose Have a licence key? and enter the key from your PD Hosting licence page, then follow the activation instructions.
4. Check that you are ready
Confirm that your administrator account can open the panel and that the expected licence is available. Your existing WHMCS cron handles the panel’s background work; the Jobs page shows when jobs last ran and what they did.
You can now choose the module you want to use and follow its own configuration guide. A working control panel is the starting point, rather than confirmation that every individual module is configured.
If you cannot open the panel
Check the extracted folder structure if PD Modules is absent from the addon list. If it appears but your account cannot use it, revisit the allowed administrator roles. If the licence is missing, check that you connected the account that holds it.
