Publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC in Google Cloud DNS through WHMCS
Add email authentication records supplied by your mail provider through PD Google Cloud DNS. SPF, DKIM and DMARC must describe the service actually sending mail for your domain, rather than a generic example.
Prepare the intended policies and selectors
Collect the complete SPF policy, DKIM selector/value or CNAME targets, and agreed DMARC policy. Identify all authorised sending services before changing an existing SPF record. Keep customer-specific tenant and selector values separate from a reusable template.
Open the correct managed zone’s records in the module, or use the enabled DNS Manager navigation link or Manage DNS on a linked domain/service. Confirm project, DNS suffix and authoritative delegation.
Publish by the requested type
- Find the current records at each requested name.
- For SPF, choose TXT and enter the intended complete policy.
- For DKIM, use the supplied selector hostname and requested TXT or CNAME type.
- For DMARC, choose TXT at the requested DMARC name with the agreed policy.
- Save and reload to compare the complete names, types and values.
Use one intended SPF policy at a hostname. A second policy is not a way to add another sender. TXT values share a record-set TTL, while a CNAME selector needs one target and must not conflict with another ordinary type at the same name.
Verify actual messages
Check authoritative DNS and the provider’s validation, then inspect authentication results on a controlled message. Publishing a DKIM key does not enable signing in a mail server, and publishing DMARC does not promise inbox placement.
MX routing is a separate delivery task. If the DNS is correct but authentication fails, compare the actual sender domain and DKIM selector with the published values before replacing records repeatedly.
A refused save needs its exact policy, lock, quota or provider-permission diagnosis. Keep keys, service-account JSON and unrelated customer data out of support attachments.
