Create a DigitalOcean Spaces product in WHMCS

Offer customer object storage through PD DigitalOcean Spaces. Connect the intended DigitalOcean account first, then configure the offering and the event that should provision it.

Set up the offering

  1. Open System Settings → Products/Services → Products/Services and create a storage product in the intended group.
  2. Select the Other product type.
  3. On Module Settings, choose PD DigitalOcean Spaces and the intended server group.
  4. Review Default Region, storage quota, maximum buckets and versioning for the offering.
  5. Set Automatically setup the product to the intended activation policy, such as setup after the first payment.
  6. Save, check pricing and review the actual order form.

Checkout choices can override offering defaults. A hidden Region choice can still submit a value, so inspect what the accepted order actually selected rather than assuming the default always wins. See region selection before creating storage.

Verify activation and the customer result

An Active WHMCS billing record does not establish that module provisioning ran. Check the configured automatic setup policy and the original payment event, then inspect Clients & Storage and Activity for the resulting bucket and credentials.

Provisioning creates real provider resources and can incur provider charges. Use your normal controlled test process after reviewing the account and settings. Repeated orders are not a way to investigate an uncertain first operation.

Confirm the intended service has a primary bucket, the expected region and its own connection details. Keep the host’s Personal Access Token separate from those customer credentials. Use the S3 client connection guide to verify an application’s actual access.

Keep plan settings and results separate

Check the saved offering and actual service behaviour before promising customer controls or a bucket allowance. A quota value is not proof of an exact provider-enforced upload cap or complete historical-version accounting. Inspect the observed result and use provisioning checks when setup is incomplete.

See the PD DigitalOcean Spaces WHMCS guide for related tasks, or explore the module.
