Connect a DigitalOcean account to Spaces storage in WHMCS
Connect a DigitalOcean account so PD DigitalOcean Spaces can provision customer storage through WHMCS. The host connection uses a Personal Access Token; customer applications use separate service-specific S3 credentials.
Prepare the account token
Install PD Modules, connect the account holding your licence and install PD DigitalOcean Spaces from its Store. Ask the DigitalOcean account administrator to prepare a token with the required Spaces-key read, creation with returned credentials, update and delete permissions, including their required dependencies. Do not give this administrative token to customers or put it in customer storage tools.
For granular permissions, review DigitalOcean’s Spaces-key creation scope and the corresponding read, update and delete requirements. A read-only token cannot issue customer credentials; a403 alone is not a reason to grant unrestricted account access.
Save the platform connection
Open System Settings → Products/Services → Servers and add a server of type PD DigitalOcean Spaces. Put the DigitalOcean Personal Access Token in Password. The module does not use this record’s Username or Hostname for its provider connection. Save and check the server group selected on the storage product.
Understand the connection test
Open PD DigitalOcean Spaces → Settings → Test Connection. The test checks the first configured account, lists Spaces keys, creates a temporary full-access S3 key and uses it to list regional buckets. It may also clean up stale temporary operation keys. It creates no bucket, but it does change credential state; temporary-key removal is attempted and should not be assumed successful after an error.
A passing result does not prove every provisioning or bucket-setting write, nor that another configured account passed. Check the account actually selected by the intended offering and inspect Activity for the original result.
Use the product or package guide next. If connection fails, keep the account label, time and redacted error for the responsible administrator; never include the token in a ticket.
