Configure AWS S3 storage quota and checkout options in Blesta
Use PD AWS S3 options to offer storage quota, bucket allowance, versioning and region choices. These describe the customer’s service; they are separate from your host AWS connection’s permission scope.
Generate and price the choices
- Open PD AWS S3 → Products and identify the intended offering.
- Use Actions → Generate options.
- Review Storage Quota, Max Buckets, Versioning and Region.
- Set the intended choices and prices under Packages → Configurable Options.
- Review which dimensions are shown at checkout and which are fixed to the saved module defaults.
A hidden customer choice uses the corresponding module default, so review that default rather than assuming the first generated choice will provision. A blank or zero default quota means unlimited; the default bucket allowance is one.
Check the service model
Review Quota mode and the client switches for bucket management, share links and storage settings. The bucket allowance includes the primary bucket. An allowance does not automatically create all additional buckets.
Blesta does not provide native usage-based disk-overage billing for these services. Sell defined storage tiers through the package options and use the module’s usage and quota notifications for follow-up.
Verify before changing existing services
Preview the order form and resulting defaults before accepting orders. Existing bucket regions cannot be moved by editing a checkout option. The plan-change operation updates the stored quota and mode; do not assume it retroactively changes every bucket’s region or versioning.
Use the quota guide to distinguish warnings from upload pauses, and the additional-bucket guide for client-created storage.
See the PD AWS S3 Blesta guide for related tasks, or explore the module.
