Connect an AWS account to PD AWS MySQL in Blesta
Connect the AWS account that will hold your customer databases. PD AWS MySQL uses that account to provision and manage MySQL through Amazon RDS or Lightsail; the database login given to a customer is separate from this host connection.
Prepare the intended credential
Install PD Modules, connect the account holding your licence and install PD AWS MySQL from its Store. Ask the AWS administrator for a dedicated IAM access key authorised for the features you will offer. Keep both values out of tickets, screenshots and customer applications.
RDS management and CloudWatch permissions do not automatically include permission to create or change each database’s dedicated firewall group. Review the required EC2 security-group creation, ingress, lookup and deletion actions separately. Lightsail-backed plans need their own relational-database permissions too. AWS documents the current AmazonRDSFullAccess policy; it is not blanket proof that every module operation is authorised.
Save and test the connection
Open Settings → Company → Modules, find PD AWS MySQL under Installed and choose Manage. Add an account with a recognisable name, Access Key ID and Secret Access Key, then save. When editing an unchanged account later, a blank secret field retains its stored value. Select the intended account on the package.
Open PD Modules → PD AWS MySQL → Settings → Test Connection. This module-panel test checks the first configured active account with a read-only RDS instance-list call. It creates no database and does not prove every account, region, Lightsail operation, firewall change or snapshot write.
Check the selected account before provisioning
Confirm the package uses the intended connection and region. Use the package guide after reviewing those settings; real provisioning can incur AWS charges.
For an invalid key or signature, check the saved pair and its status with the administrator. For denied actions, review the named permission. When replacing a key, verify the affected operations and dependent connections before retiring the old one; a passing read test alone does not establish that every write is ready.
