Control customer website-security summaries in Blesta with Site Sentinel

Choose whether a client sees their own stored website-check summary. Keep summary visibility separate from finding detail and from actual monitoring coverage.

Review the settings

  1. Open PD Modules → Site Sentinel → Settings.
  2. Review Show customers their own site’s status.
  3. Decide separately whether to enable Show customers the detail of each finding, which is off by default.
  4. Save and check the intended client/service association before relying on the customer view.

The summary appears on the client-area home page, and on the service’s Notes & extras tab for packages with PD Modules selected under Plugins. It depends on a matching site/client association and available customer-facing module access. Manually added unassociated sites do not automatically belong to a client’s service.

Understand the information shown

The service summary uses the saved reachability, finding count and last-checked time. With details enabled it can list up to ten unaccepted finding labels and severities; this is not the complete staff explanation, evidence URL or file contents. Do not promise customers that all staff details appear in their portal.

Check freshness and privacy

The customer summary does not separately label every pause or free-allowance exclusion. An old clean result can remain visible while new checks are not running. Check the staff Sites state and timestamp before presenting it as current reassurance.

Accepted findings can remain in the stored finding count while being absent from the optional detail list. A summary count and the visible labels can therefore differ. Check with an authorised account and non-sensitive sample data; do not expose one client’s details to another to test a layout.
