Configure scheduled PD Guard Pro file-integrity checks in Blesta
Scheduled file-integrity monitoring compares included files with your baseline and can notify staff about drift. It has its own control and job, separate from environment monitoring.
Prepare the baseline and recipients
- Confirm PD Guard Pro is active.
- Establish a reviewed baseline under File Integrity and check its coverage.
- Open Settings and review Pro: scheduled file-integrity monitoring.
- Review Alert recipient email(s) and any intended Pro webhook destination, then save.
- In the PD Modules jobs view, check File-integrity check, its enabled state and last run alongside the platform cron.
The job is registered daily. A generic job summary is not proof that a comparison occurred: the feature returns early if disabled, Pro is unavailable or no baseline exists. Compare the actual scan timestamp on File Integrity with the job evidence.
Understand what triggers another alert
The first newly observed set of added, changed or removed filenames can trigger an alert. The module suppresses a repeat of the same filename lists. Further content changes to a file already on the changed list can therefore stay quiet while that list remains the same.
A later comparison with no differences clears the remembered drift. Replacing a baseline and immediately seeing no old comparison does not by itself prove that the scheduled alert state was cleared. Inspect the next real comparison rather than assuming a reset from the screen alone.
Check delivery independently
The remembered drift is saved before the email/webhook attempts. If delivery fails, the same unchanged filename set may not be resent automatically. Email shows bounded examples, not every changed filename. Keep recipients appropriate because alerts can contain file references.
A manual Scan now in File Integrity stores a comparison without acting as this scheduled notification path. For an unexpected silence, collect the job time, baseline/scan times, change totals, settings and redacted delivery error before retrying or accepting a new baseline.
