Generate PD Google Cloud Storage checkout options in WHMCS
Offer customer-selectable storage choices after saving the product’s account and defaults. Review the option group and your own prices before exposing the product on an order form.
Prepare the saved product
Use PD Google Cloud Storage, the intended server group, soft quota mode and explicit defaults for storage allowance, bucket count, region and versioning. The module’s maintained location list does not validate current project availability or every customer’s future access permissions.
Generate the option group
- Open PD Modules → GCS → Products and find the intended product.
- Choose Generate options if no generated group exists. For an existing group, read the Regenerate options confirmation first.
- Inspect Storage Quota, Max Buckets, Versioning and Region in the generated group. These describe the customer offering; quota is not an immediate provider-enforced size cap.
- Open System Settings → Products/Services → Configurable Options to edit choices and your own prices. The product’s Configurable Options tab attaches groups rather than serving as the complete pricing editor.
- Review currencies and billing cycles. Generator defaults do not decide your margin or establish Google’s actual usage bill.
- Preview checkout and confirm the effective allowance, bucket count, location, versioning and total before making the product available.
Change visibility without rebuilding
Use the product’s module-settings option panel to select the intended customer-visible dimensions and choose Save visibility. This changes visibility while retaining prices. Recheck saved selections and the actual order form; do not assume a hidden choice has no effect on the provisioned result.
Treat regeneration as a replacement
Regenerating or rebuilding rewrites the generated choices and resets their prices to defaults. Record customised choices and prices first, and consider options referenced by existing services. This is different from saving visibility.
The generator also attempts to enable configurable-option upgrades on the product. Verify that setting if customers should be allowed to change their storage plan later; a success notice does not independently establish it was saved.
Generating options does not create a bucket or select the intended automatic-provisioning trigger. If a write result is uncertain, inspect the existing group and the last operation result before generating again. Keep the existing group until that outcome is clear. Do not include provider or customer keys in shared screenshots and examples.
