Choose which app-hosting dimensions customers can select, then review the generated prices and defaults. The module generates native configurable options for this platform.

Generate the intended group

1. Save the product with the intended provider account, App Platform region, plan and instance-count defaults.
2. Open PD Modules → DigitalOcean App Platform → Products and find that product.
3. Choose Generate options when no generated group exists. If the button says Rebuild from live catalog, review the reset warning before proceeding.
4. Inspect Region, App plan and Instances. Instances is a quantity from 1–5, but a plan restricted to one instance must still be offered with a valid count.
5. Review the attached group and edit your own prices under System Settings → Products/Services → Configurable Options. Preview the actual order form before selling the offering.

The catalogue can be cached or fall back to shipped choices. Generating a list does not create an app or prove every listed combination can be deployed on your account.

Set visibility without rebuilding

Expand Customer-selectable dimensions, tick the dimensions customers should choose and use Save visibility. Hidden dimensions are intended to use the product’s saved module defaults. Verify the saved group and the order-form result after changing visibility; do not rely on the success message alone.

Use this visibility operation when that is all you need to change. Check the defaults again when switching from a selectable plan or count to a fixed one.

Review prices and an optional margin

Without a saved margin, generated choices start with zero prices for you to review and edit. If you use Save margin, saving it changes no current price by itself. A subsequent Generate or Rebuild uses the saved margin where the panel can suggest a price, and can refuse to proceed when it cannot price the chosen combination or obtain required cost/currency information. Read the result rather than assuming every dimension was priced.

Provider cost and suggested price are different from the final price you offer. Review every applicable billing term and currency, along with any costs outside the displayed estimate, before opening sales. A separate pricing review is appropriate before applying suggestions to an existing offering.

Treat rebuild prices deliberately

The reviewed generation path updates existing option identities rather than deliberately discarding customer choices, but it resets prices to the newly generated values. Record your custom prices and choices before rebuilding. Rebuilding is not the visibility-only operation and does not preserve every commercial edit.

For an uncertain result, inspect the existing linked group before another Generate or Rebuild. Do not send tokens or customer billing information.
