How do I Transfer my domain to pdHosting?

Transferring your domain to PD Hosting is easy, just follow the steps below.

Transferring a .UK Domain Name

Before proceeding with the Transfer of your .UK domain name, you are advised to confirm if your domain name can be transferred.

The process of transferring a .UK domain name from another Registrar is different as compared to the process for domain names under other extensions. In case of a .UK domain name, the inbound Transfer needs to be initiated at the Current Registrar's end.

* Inter-Registrar Transfer of a .UK domain name does not include one year Renewal.

* Transfer of a .UK domain name from another Registrar to PDHOSTING is a non-billable action.

Once you have determined whether your .UK domain name can be Transferred, you need to follow the steps below:

All official .UK registrars have a unique tag called an IPS tag, to transfer your domain you simply need to add your domain to your account and request your old registrar change the IPSTAG to ours.

The IPS Tag for PD Hosting is PDHOSTING.

• Log into the client area
• Click Manage Domains
• Click Register or Transfer a Domain
• Enter the domain and click the search icon
• Click Transfer next to your domain
• Contact your current registrar and ask them to set the IPS tag for your domain to PDHOSTING
• Once the IPSTAG has been changed your transfer is complete

Transferring a top level Domain Name (.com, .net. .org etc.)

Before proceeding with the Transfer, you are advised to first check the following:

• Your domain must not have been registered or transferred within the past 60 days
• You must not have updated the registrant organisation in past the past 60 days
• You must not have updated the registrants contacts first or last name in the past 60 days
• You must make sure your Registrant Email and Admin Email address are correct.

Confirm if your domain name can be transferred.

• The domain must be unlocked
• The domain privacy must be disabled (also known as whois privacy or ID protection)
• Get your Authorization Code / EPP code from your current registrar
• Check the Registrant email and Admin email contacts for your domain are up to date

Do the following from your pdHosting client area

• Log into the client area
• Click Manage Domains
• Click Register or Transfer a Domain
• Enter the domain and click the search icon
• Click Transfer next to your domain
• Enter your EPP code
• Click Add to cart
• Proceed to the checkout and pay for the transfer
• An email will be sent to the Admin contact for your domain
• Check your email and click the transfer authorization link
• Follow the onscreen instructions to authorize your transfer
• Once your transfer is approved your domain will transferred within 7 – 10 days
