Check ElastiCache CPU, connections and memory in Blesta
As the hosting operator, use PD AWS ElastiCache’s customer graphs alongside your team’s application checks. CPU load, connections, freeable memory and memory usage are different measurements. This module does not show a disk-storage allowance for an in-memory cache.
Customer steps: read the graphs
- Open the active customer service and confirm its cache and AWS region.
- Choose Usage Graphs where your hosting business makes it available.
- Review CPU utilisation, Connected clients, Freeable memory and Memory usage (%).
- Compare the displayed period with application errors, slow requests and recent Activity.
- Keep the affected time range and visible measurements before making changes.
The charts request recent CloudWatch data when opened, covering the previous 24 hours. They are not continuous live monitoring or application-level query statistics. CPU utilisation is a host-level percentage rather than a dedicated engine-CPU graph. Connected clients is a count; freeable memory uses the displayed memory scale; memory usage is a percentage, not gigabytes of disk space.
Treat missing data separately
A newly created or unavailable cache may have no useful recent series. A read failure or missing CloudWatch permission can also leave graphs empty. Blank data does not mean zero load or unlimited capacity. Your hosting team should compare the intended member cache and monitoring read before changing the node plan.
Investigate the right pressure
Compare each graph with its normal pattern. Rising connections, sustained CPU and memory pressure call for different application checks. The module reads the member cache cluster’s metrics; these are not measurements for one key or one application request. Review workload, connection reuse and capacity with the administrator before an upgrade. A larger node does not itself prove that a slowdown is resolved. If the graphs load correctly but the application remains slow, continue workload diagnosis with your cache/application administrator.
