Connect your Twilio account (Account SID + Auth Token), pick a phone number or a Messaging Service SID, and send SMS straight from WHMCS or Blesta: one-off messages to a client, automatic notifications on the events that matter, and bulk campaigns.

What's in the box

  • Templates with merge fields ({first_name}, {invoice_id}, {invoice_total}, {domain}…) grouped by Billing, Services, Support and Account.
  • Triggers — map a WHMCS or Blesta event to a template and it fires automatically: invoice created or paid, service activated / suspended / unsuspended, a staff ticket reply, or a failed domain renewal.
  • SMS Campaigns — bulk SMS to a filtered client segment, with a segment-cost estimate before you commit, send-now or schedule, and live progress.
  • Admin Alert Center — each admin sets their own number and picks the staff events that text their phone.
  • Client preferences — you choose what clients are asked about; the choices live on their own Account Details page beside their email preferences, and every trigger and campaign honours them.
  • Test / Debug gateway — records messages in History without making any Twilio API calls; trial everything cost-free.

If you also send through Amazon SNS, Vonage, Clickatell or a custom HTTP endpoint, PD SMS Manager covers all of them in one module — you can run both alongside each other or switch later.

Questions

Which billing platforms does PD Twilio SMS work with?

PD Twilio SMS is available for WHMCS (8.13 or later) and Blesta (6.0 or later). Each has its own page with the screenshots, requirements and price for that system. A module is added to the PD Modules licence of the installation it runs on, so a WHMCS installation and a Blesta installation each hold their own licence.

Do I need a Twilio account?

Yes. PD Twilio SMS sends through your own Twilio account, so you pay Twilio's own per-message rate — there are no marked-up message credits from us.

Can I try it without sending real messages?

Yes — add the built-in Test / Debug gateway. It records every message in History and can email them to an admin inbox without making any Twilio API calls. Trial your templates and triggers cost-free before going live.

Should I use a phone number or a Messaging Service?

A phone number is a single sending number — fine for low volume. A Messaging Service pools multiple numbers together and is recommended for production use: it handles geographic routing, number rotation and improves deliverability at higher volume.

Will it text clients who have opted out?

No. Each client manages their text-message preferences on their own Account Details page, beside their email preferences, and every automatic trigger honours them. You choose which preferences are offered and whether each starts on or has to be agreed to — promotional messages are agreement-only, as prior consent requires. Messages you send by hand are unaffected.

What if I need more than just Twilio?

PD SMS Manager adds Twilio plus Amazon SNS, Vonage, Clickatell and a Custom HTTP gateway all in one module. The two modules can run side-by-side in the same WHMCS or Blesta.

What does it cost to run, on top of the subscription?

Only what you already pay your provider. PD Twilio SMS adds no per-unit fee and takes no cut — it connects to your own account with your own credentials, so the provider bills you directly at your rates, and you set what you charge your customers. From us it is the module subscription and nothing else.
