Databases

Available for WHMCS and Blesta

Sell managed Kafka as a native, automatically billed WHMCS or Blesta product. Every order auto-provisions a dedicated Kafka cluster on DigitalOcean, in the datacenter your customer picks — and gives them a clean self-service panel.

What's in the box

  • Self-service client area — connection details with enforced TLS and a copy-paste connect command, a trusted-sources firewall the customer manages, and one-click password regeneration.
  • Data-safe by design — plan upgrades apply in place with the data preserved; suspend locks access without touching data; terminate drives to zero orphaned clusters.

Why hosts choose it

You already have a DigitalOcean account. This turns it into a branded, recurring-revenue managed-Kafka product in minutes — no custom code, no database servers to babysit, no per-cluster fees to us. Ideal for event streaming, log aggregation and real-time pipelines.

Want to sell every engine from one product line? PD DigitalOcean Databases covers PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Valkey, Kafka and OpenSearch in a single module.

Questions

Which billing platforms does PD DigitalOcean Kafka work with?

PD DigitalOcean Kafka is available for WHMCS (8.13 or later) and Blesta (6.0 or later). Each has its own page with the screenshots, requirements and price for that system. A module is added to the PD Modules licence of the installation it runs on, so a WHMCS installation and a Blesta installation each hold their own licence.

Can customers upgrade their plan later?

Yes — through WHMCS's or Blesta's normal Upgrade/Downgrade flow. The cluster is resized in place and the data is preserved, with no migration.

How do customers secure who can connect?

From the Trusted Sources page in their client area. They add their application servers' IP addresses; once any are added, only those can connect. Every connection also enforces TLS.

What happens to the data when a service is cancelled?

Terminating deletes the cluster on DigitalOcean and cleans up every associated resource — zero orphans left billing on your account. Take a backup first if you need to retain data beyond cancellation.

Do I need my own DigitalOcean account?

Yes. You resell on your own DigitalOcean account, at your own margin. Your API token is stored encrypted on your WHMCS or Blesta server and is never shown to a customer.

Does a lapsed PD Modules licence break my customers' services?

No. A licence lapse withdraws the management layer in stages but never stops, deletes or alters a running customer resource. Your customers keep serving throughout.

How do I get help?

Open a ticket from your client area, or use Get help inside the PD Modules panel, which attaches a diagnostic report — you see a preview of exactly what it contains, and can exclude any part of it, before anything is sent. Support is included with an active subscription; bug reports are welcome whatever your licence state.
