Find and regenerate your Support PIN in the WHMCS client area
The following client-area steps describe your customer’s view. Your hosting team can use them when explaining where a customer finds or replaces their PIN. In these steps, “your hosting provider” means your company.
Your Support PIN is a short code you can quote when your hosting provider asks you to verify a support request. PD Support PIN displays it inside your signed-in WHMCS client area. It is separate from your password and any two-factor code used to sign in.
Find your current PIN
- Sign in to your hosting provider’s WHMCS client area using your normal account.
- Open the client dashboard or home page.
- Find the Support PIN panel. Read the current value there when your provider asks for it during your support conversation.
- If you have more than one hosting account, check that you are signed in to the account the request concerns.
The provider may also enable a PIN card in the client sidebar or a row in the Account menu. The dashboard panel is the usual starting point; enabled placements depend on the provider’s settings.
A PIN can change after regeneration, scheduled rotation or a successful check when the provider uses one-time mode. Read the current panel rather than an old screenshot or a value copied from an earlier conversation.
Replace a PIN that has been exposed
- Open Support PIN on the dashboard.
- If your provider allows client regeneration, choose Generate a new PIN or Regenerate in that panel.
- Read the confirmation and complete the change.
- Use the newly displayed PIN for your next support check. The previous value no longer matches.
If you are already talking to support, tell the staff member that you regenerated it before they check the next value. Avoid regenerating repeatedly while a check is in progress.
If the panel or button is missing
The provider controls whether the dashboard panel is enabled and whether clients can regenerate their own PINs. A missing regenerate button can be intentional; ask the provider to help rather than changing your account password to look for the control.
If you cannot sign in, use the provider’s normal account-recovery process. A Support PIN is not a login replacement. Do not post your PIN in a public screenshot, review or forum message.
Hosting-team display checks
Check On the client dashboard (a panel) and Let clients regenerate their own PIN separately. Confirm that the customer is viewing the intended signed-in account and dashboard. A hidden regeneration control can be intentional. Do not uninstall the module to investigate a display problem; uninstalling removes PIN and activity data.
