PD Domain & Email Forwarder for WHMCS: set up domain and email forwarding
PD Domain & Email Forwarder manages URL and email forwarding from WHMCS, using a supported provider for the domain. A redirect sends a visitor to another URL; an email forward sends mail to another mailbox. They need separate configuration.
What the workflow covers
You can manage multiple providers and choose a default. URL forwarding supports permanent and temporary redirects and optional path preservation. Email forwarding depends on the backend’s mail-routing capabilities and the destination setup.
Before you start
Install PD Modules for WHMCS first, connect the account that holds your licence, then install PD Domain & Email Forwarder from its Store. Allow the administrator role that needs to use it.
Set up your first workflow
- Open Forwarding → Providers and add the provider that actually manages the domain. Supply credentials with the permissions needed for URL forwarding, email forwarding or both.
- Choose the domain and create the intended forward. For a URL, check the destination scheme, redirect type and whether the original path should be preserved.
- For email, set the mailbox or catch-all destination and complete any required destination verification. Review the resulting rule before enabling wider automatic provisioning.
Check the result
For a URL rule, check both the domain and a path you expect to preserve. For email, use an authorised test message and inspect the provider result. A saved rule alone does not prove that the domain’s DNS and mail routing point to the right backend.
Provider capabilities differ. In particular, confirm email catch-all support on the chosen backend before offering it to customers.
