How to add PostgreSQL checkout choices in WHMCS
Let customers select supported PostgreSQL resource choices through PD DigitalOcean PostgreSQL while keeping the edition fixed by the product.
Save edition-specific defaults
Open the intended product and confirm its provider account, Engine edition, Region, Plan, Engine version and High availability on Module Settings. Use separate offerings for Standard and Advanced Edition. Check the dated Standard Edition restrictions before exposing large plans or standby nodes.
Generate native configurable options
- Open PD Modules → DigitalOcean PostgreSQL → Products and find the intended product.
- Choose Generate options and review the confirmation.
- Inspect the assigned option group for Region, Plan, Engine version and High availability where offered for that edition.
- Use the customer-selectable dimension controls, save visibility and check the actual checkout form.
The High availability choice requests the edition’s supported node layout; it is not an arbitrary node-count field. Storage follows the cluster size, with no separate adjustable storage dimension in this generator.
Review defaults and prices
Hidden dimensions normally use the product defaults. Verify the saved defaults and effective order selection as well as visible choices. Set the generated prices under System Settings → Products/Services → Configurable Options, checking the currencies and billing periods you offer.
Catalogue choices can be cached or from a fallback list. Their appearance is not proof of current capacity or every valid plan/region combination. Region and engine version apply at creation; do not offer a later selection edit as a migration or engine upgrade.
Refresh an existing option group
Rebuild from DigitalOcean refreshes generated choices and resets prices after confirmation. Compatible identifiers are retained, but existing services and prices still need review. Saving visibility is separate and preserves prices.
After rebuilding, recheck the group, defaults, prices and checkout. Review old Standard Edition groups when the provider’s dated restrictions affect your account; a formerly visible choice may no longer be accepted for a new cluster.
