How to view MySQL database backups in WHMCS

View the supported backup list for a PD DigitalOcean MySQL service. The client page lists returned backups; it is not a self-service restore workflow.

Check the edition and feature switch

This module exposes its client backup list for Standard Edition MySQL when Client: Backups is enabled on the product. It does not show that page for Advanced Edition, even with the switch on. That interface boundary does not establish that the provider has no Advanced Edition recovery facilities.

Inspect the backup list

Open the intended client service, then Backups. Review the returned dates and sizes. The Overview page shows only a short preview; use the full page to inspect the list.

Compare the entries with the recovery period you need. A listed backup is not proof that the application has been restore-tested or that every desired point in time is recoverable.

When expected backups are absent

If the tab is missing, check the edition and Client: Backups switch first. If an expected list is empty, check whether the provider read succeeded: the display alone does not prove there are no backups.

Check recovery options separately

For a planned recovery, identify the intended service and required recovery date and timezone. Establish the available recovery method and its impact before making changes. Do not assume the client interface has a Restore button, and do not delete or recreate the service to make a backup appear.
