Connect an account to PD DigitalOcean Kubernetes in WHMCS
PD DigitalOcean Kubernetes creates managed clusters in your own DigitalOcean account. Connect that account before configuring the product your customers will order.
Prepare the intended account
Have the DigitalOcean administrator prepare a token authorised for the cluster operations you intend to offer, with account reads and any project access used for grouping. The module documents Full Access and a custom-scope alternative. A read-only account check can succeed while cluster creation or another resource operation is refused.
Use DigitalOcean’s API token scope reference when reviewing a specific permission failure. Do not automatically broaden every restricted token to resolve an unrelated region, capacity or configuration error. Keep the token private and record its expiry in your normal maintenance process.
Save the connection
- Open System Settings → Servers → Add New Server.
- Select PD DigitalOcean Kubernetes as the module and put the prepared API token in Password. Username and hostname are not used for this connection.
- Save the server and place it in the server group intended for your cluster product.
- Open PD Modules → DigitalOcean Kubernetes and run Test Connection.
Interpret the result
The module’s Test Connection checks every active connected account for this module and names failures. It reads account information; it does not create a cluster or prove every Kubernetes, node-pool, credential-download or project permission. The server-form check can use the token just typed; the module-wide check uses saved active accounts.
For authentication errors, confirm the intended account and whether the token is wrong, expired or revoked. For a permission error on one operation, inspect the named scope. For reachability errors, review outbound HTTPS access to DigitalOcean without disabling security controls broadly.
When rotating a token, save and verify the intended replacement before the administrator retires the working one. An account-read success alone is not a complete test of a narrower replacement. Never send the API token or customer data.
