Redeploy an app with PD DigitalOcean App Platform in Blesta

Request a fresh build and rollout from the service’s current source after changing code or updating its image. A redeploy request and a completed deployment are separate stages.

Check the intended service

Open the service’s Information tab in the Blesta client area. Confirm its current repository and branch, or Docker Hub image and tag. If you want to select a different source, use the source form first rather than expecting Redeploy to change it for you.

The service needs an existing provider app, the offering’s Client: Redeploy permission and an available management feature. A service waiting for its first source needs that source submitted before this action can run. A suspended service does not offer redeploy as a way around suspension.

Request one rollout

  1. Review the current source and the application change you want to release.
  2. Choose Redeploy now on the service page and read the response.
  3. Follow the service state and Activity for the requested rollout. Do not treat the initial success message as completed deployment.
  4. When it becomes live, open the live URL and check the expected application version.

This is a real build/deployment action. A repeated click can request another deployment, so wait for the current result and inspect Activity before trying again.

Interpret failure and an older live app

An older deployment can remain active when a new rollout fails. A live URL or an available state alone therefore does not prove your latest code is serving. Compare the latest requested action and its outcome with the application you see.

The normal background process updates deployment outcomes, and provider reads can fail or fall back to a previously known state. If progress appears stuck, review the normal cron and latest provider deployment result rather than repeatedly redeploying. Customer Activity is a recent summary, not a complete build-log viewer.

Do not include tokens, private repository credentials or sensitive application data.
